Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: 'Jack Wilshere making good progress in recovery'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirms that Jack Wilshere is making "good progress" in his return from injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that Jack Wilshere is on track to return to fitness.

The England international missed the Gunners' first two games of the season after suffering a hairline fracture on his left fibula during a training session earlier this month.

Last week, Wenger confirmed that Wilshere was a fortnight away from returning to action, and it appears as though the midfielder remains on track.

"Wilshere should be the first back from [the injured] players," Wenger told the club's official website. "He is making good progress."

Meanwhile, Wenger has revealed that Tomas Rosicky is "far away" from first-team football after undergoing knee surgery.
