Wakefield Trinity Wildcats thrash Catalan Dragons 30-12 in the Super League.

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have beaten Catalan Dragons 30-12 in the Super League.

It took 16 minutes for the game's first score and it went to the visiting Catalans as Kevin Larroyer's try was converted by Thomas Bosc.

A little over five minutes later Peter Fox got Wakefield's first point, but Lee Smith missed his kick so the hosts stayed behind in the game.

Then in the 32nd minute Wakefield got themselves in front as Danny Kirmond's try was converted before Smith kicked a penalty a minute before the break.

The first-half scoring was not done, however, as Ben Cockayne added a try in added time, with Smith again kicking the extras.

In the second half the one-way traffic continued as Fox added his second try on 51 minutes, with Kirmond's second converted effort coming seven minutes later.

Finally Dragons added their and Larroyer's second try in the 68th minute with Bosc's second attempt also good.

However, there was to be no more scoring and Wakefield ran out comfortable winners.
