Southampton will be desperate to clinch their first win in the Premier League when they go head to head with Aston Villa on home turf this weekend.

Southampton manager Nigel Adkins is increasingly under pressure to snatch his first Premier League victory after losing all four of their opening fixtures this season.

This Saturday, the Saints take on Aston Villa, who will be buoyed by their 2-0 win over Swansea City last weekend, while former Championship club Southampton are desperate to recover from their 6-1 thrashing by Arsenal.

Gaston Ramirez could come into the fold in place of Steven Davis at St Mary's Stadium, while Rickie Lambert should retain his spot up front in Adkins's side.

Meanwhile, Villa boss Paul Lambert will be trusting striker Darren Bent to find the net on away turf, while Ron Vlaar and Ciaran Clark are expected to secure the back four.

Aston Villa: Guzan; Lowton, Clark, Vlaar, Lichaj; Holman, El Ahmadi, Ireland, Bannan; Weimann; Bent
