Chelsea team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Chelsea ahead of Sunday's Premier League fixture with Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea make the trip across London to face Tottenham Hotspur needing to find a way to end their poor run of results in the Premier League.

Saturday's 1-0 reverse against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge was the club's third in four top-flight fixtures, leaving Frank Lampard under pressure ahead of some important fixtures over Christmas.

The Blues need to avoid defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in order to maintain some distance between themselves and their city rivals in the race for the top four.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up their latest injury and suspension news ahead of the showdown in England's capital.

Fikayo Tomori

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: December 22 (vs. Spurs)

While a hip injury has kept Tomori out of Chelsea's recent fixtures, Lampard has already revealed that the academy graduate should return to training ahead of next weekend's encounter.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Status: Out
Type of injury: Achilles
Possible return date: Unknown

After a number of setbacks with his recovery from a serious Achilles injury, Loftus-Cheek has been ruled out for the rest of 2019, with Lampard suggesting that the midfielder is at least a month away from a return.

Olivier Giroud

Giroud has recently sprained his ankle, leading to the Frenchman missing out against Lille and Bournemouth. With the forward likely to leave Stamford Bridge in January, no risks will be taken with the veteran.
