Champions League semi-final predictions - Man City vs. PSG, Chelsea vs. Real Madrid

Sports Mole provides score predictions for both of the Champions League semi-final second legs - Manchester City vs. PSG and Chelsea vs. Real Madrid.

With Istanbul firmly in their sights, Manchester City gear up for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final showdown with Paris Saint-Germain at the Etihad on Tuesday night.

An exemplary second-half showing from Pep Guardiola's men saw them emerge 2-1 winners from last week's first leg at the Parc des Princes, during which Marquinhos's header was cancelled out by strikes from Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez.

Both sides boosted their chances of domestic success at the weekend, as Man City overcame Crystal Palace 2-0 while PSG kept their title hopes alive with a 2-1 win over Lens.

We say: Manchester City 1-1 Paris Saint-Germain

City may be tempted to sit back and hold on to what they have against PSG, and even a 1-0 defeat would not be enough to stop Guardiola's men from advancing to the final, but the hosting manager will not accept such a showing.

The expected return of Mbappe will be a huge boost to PSG's goalscoring exploits, but a well-rested attacking contingent on City's end is difficult for any defence in the game to contain, so we expect a tight affair to end in a draw as City book their plane tickets to Istanbul.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Chelsea vs. Real Madrid (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Following an enthralling and rain-soaked first leg in the Spanish capital, Chelsea prepare to welcome Real Madrid to Stamford Bridge for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final battle on Wednesday night.

The tie is delicately poised following a 1-1 draw at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano last week, during which Christian Pulisic's opener was cancelled out by an equally impressive Karim Benzema finish.

Both European powerhouses enjoyed 2-0 victories in league action at the weekend, as Chelsea overcame Fulham while Los Blancos comfortably swept aside Osasuna.

We say: Chelsea 2-1 Real Madrid

Real cannot rely on their resilient, albeit depleted defence to pave a way to the Champions League final, as they simply have to go for goals at Stamford Bridge in order to book their spot in the showpiece event.

Such a strategy could leave Zidane's men vulnerable to Chelsea's pace on the counter attack, and the Blues are not so bad at defending themselves, so we can envisage a narrow success for Tuchel's crop as they prepare to make the journey to Istanbul.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
