Sam Warburton has revealed that he is "proud" after it was confirmed that he would
become Wales’ youngest-ever World Cup captain.
The 22-year-old flanker has been selected by coach Warren Gatland to take over the armband from the injured Matthew Rees.
"I'm very proud, it's something I wasn't sure would happen at all during my career, never mind be captain of Wales at a World Cup, so yeah, I'm over the moon," he told Sky Sports News.
"I've been told there's a bit of pressure, but I'm quite a relaxed guy to be honest and I won't let it faze me.
"I get a lot of help from the senior guys, coaches, management, we've got a psychologist going over with us, so it shouldn't be too daunting."
Wales begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa on Sunday, September 11.
