Bath Rugby head coach Gary Gold has revealed that the club have completed the signing of Peter Stringer on a short-term contract.
Stringer, who is Ireland's most-capped scrum-half with 98 caps, has played in three Heineken Cup finals during an illustrious career with Munster.
"Peter is a world class professional and has an incredible amount of experience he can bring to the squad," Gold told the club's official website.
"He is still keen to compete at the highest level, and we are short at scrum-half at the moment due to injury. I'm sure he'll be a huge asset to our other nines with his invaluable experience and exceptional work ethic."
Stringer will act as cover with Bath suffering a number of injuries in recent weeks.
