Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly planning to hand Joao Moutinho a one-year extension at Molineux.
The 35-year-old arrived at the club following their promotion to the Premier League in 2018 but is due to become a free agent at the end of the current campaign.
Despite his age, Moutinho remains a key element of the Wolves side under Bruno Lage, starting all four of their Premier League games so far this term.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Wolves want to keep Moutinho on the books until the summer of 2023 and are preparing a new one-year deal for the Portuguese.
The former Porto and Monaco man has made 142 appearances for the club in total, scoring three goals and setting up 22 more across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Wolves are also reported to have approached former Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng over a move to the West Midlands this summer.
