Sam Allardyce's West Ham United aiming for 10th spot in Premier League

Sam Allardyce claims that West Ham United are aiming for 10th place in the Premier League this season.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has claimed that his team will be hoping to finish 10th or higher in the Premier League this season.

The Hammers, who will be without injured Andy Carroll at the start of the season, fell briefly into a relegation battle, but were able to finish 13th by the end of the last campaign.

"We're aiming for 10th or better and we want to score more goals than last season," Allardyce said in this morning's press conference. "That's achievable for us."

West Ham will open their campaign with a clash against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Upton Park on Saturday.
