Steve Clarke encourages his West Bromwich Albion players to put their recent defeats behind them.

West Bromwich Albion head coach Steve Clarke has urged his team to bounce back from their recent results when they take on Southampton next weekend.

The Baggies have have been on the wrong side of late goals in their last two outings, which in turn has resulted in them slipping to two defeats.

Speaking after yesterday's 2-1 loss to Newcastle United where Papiss Cisse scored the winning goal with seconds remaining, Clarke believes that his team have been extremely unlucky.

"I've got a good dressing room. I've got men in there. They understand that sometimes you don't get what you deserve from a game," he said. "We've just got to take all the frustrations of the last two weeks and channel it into the next game. We have to try to make sure we get a positive result there.

"We've now got to dust ourselves down, look forward to the next game and try to take our frustrations out on Southampton. "With a bit more luck, we could have more points than we have.To be stuck on 14 points after these last two games is cruel. It's not fair.

"We have to move on. In football, you've always got the next game."

West Brom are currently ninth in the Premier League table.
