West Bromwich Albion's remaining fixtures ahead of Championship restart

Ahead of the resumption of the Championship season later this week, Sports Mole looks at promotion-chasing West Bromwich Albion's remaining fixtures.

West Bromwich Albion are well on course for a return to the Premier League as they prepare to resume their Championship campaign this weekend.

The Baggies are second in the table and a healthy six points above third-place Fulham with nine games to go.

Slaven Bilic's men picked up just one point from the last four on offer before the three-month hiatus, however, and have some tricky fixtures left to play.

First up for Albion is a West Midlands derby clash with Birmingham City on Saturday - one of five remaining home fixtures.

Hull City, Derby County and Queens Park Rangers all travel to the Hawthorns during the run-in, as well as Scott Parker's Fulham in a potentially huge midweek clash next month.

West Brom played out a 1-1 draw with the Cottagers in the reverse meeting nine months ago - a result that will likely be welcomed in this latest encounter if it means keeping them at arm's length.

Bilic's charges also have a tough test to come away at Brentford, the side currently directly below them, followed by trips to Sheffield Wednesday, Blackburn Rovers and Huddersfield Town.
