Valencia confirm Rodrigo Moreno signing

Valencia confirm the permanent signing of Rodrigo Moreno from Benfica on a four-year deal.

Valencia have confirmed the signing of Rodrigo Moreno from Benfica for a reported £21.7m.

Rodrigo joined the club on a season-long loan deal last summer, and after playing a key role in helping Nuno Espirito Santo's side finish fourth in La Liga, Valencia have taken up the option to complete a permanent deal.

"After a year in Valencia I feel very happy and eager to be better every day. Now we have to think about the Champions League and get into the group stage," he told the club's website after signing a four-year contract.

"My ultimate goal is to help Valencia CF to be better, to achieve all my fitness goals and, above all, for us to be a very competitive team.

"Individually, I hope to have more luck in front of goal, but I'm sure with daily work in training all will be well."

Rodrigo scored just four goals last season.
