Valencia manager Nuno has said that Nicolas Otamendi is "fully integrated with the team", despite persistent reports linking the Argentine with a transfer.
The 27-year-old joined the Spanish club last year from Porto and enjoyed a successful debut campaign in La Liga.
In recent months he is believed to have attracted the interest of Manchester United, but his manager has refused to be drawn on the speculation.
"I think [Nicolas] has worked hard and took care of himself during his holiday after Copa America," Nuno told reporters.
"He has been very faithful to his work and is fully integrated with the team.
"All the players who are here are focused on the team. It's as simple as that."
Otamendi scored six goals in 35 league appearances for Valencia last season.
