Valencia boss Nuno has admitted that Los Che must improve following their 4-1 friendly defeat to Bayern Munich on Saturday.
The Spanish side were on the end of a strong performance from the German champions in Beijing, and Nuno has demanded "much, much better" from his team.
"We matched [Bayern] for the first 45 minutes, but we must draw conclusions [from the result]. We have to work much, much better. The second half wasn't good and 1-4 is a result that we don't like, but it tells us to work harder," Nuno told reporters.
"[Bayern] are a great team, who have trained one more week than us. What I value most is the players' commitment to improving.
"At the moment, only a few of our players are able to play with intensity for 90 minutes, but we'll be fully prepared to play within a month. We have a good squad with great quality and versatility."
Valencia are currently facing a battle to keep hold of key defender Nicolas Otamendi, who is said to be closing in on a move to Manchester United.
