Swansea City have confirmed that Wayne Routledge will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on an ankle problem.
The winger has been battling the injury for a number of weeks and the club are keen to get him back fully fit for the start of next season.
"The 30-year-old has undergone an operation to cure the long-standing injury in order for him to return in time for pre-season training," a statement read on the club's website.
Swansea, who claimed a 3-2 victory over Newcastle United on Saturday, have recalled Modou Barrow from his loan spell at Nottingham Forest to fill the void left in the squad by Routledge's injury.
