Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel has revealed that he is not thinking about retiring from the game any time soon.
The American is close to breaking the Premier League record for being the oldest goalkeeper in the top flight.
Despite his advancing years, the 40-year-old has insisted that he is not anywhere near ready to quit and plans to stay on for as long as he possibly can.
"How long can I play? Until no manager in the world wants to take me on," Friedel told The Times.
"I came to Tottenham to battle for No 1. I looked at where they were going, the squad, talent, [and made] a 100 percent football decision.
"At 35 I probably would not have expected to be playing at 40. There's no secret [except to] eat well, [have] discipline and work hard.
"I take football very seriously. I do my utmost to win, be as good as I can. I am very disappointed if I lose or make mistakes but there is no sense in playing if you don't enjoy it."
Friedel featured in the 0-0 draw against Sunderland in Saturday's early kick-off.
