Shrewsbury Town sign Niall McGinn from Watford

Niall McGinn leaves Watford to join League One side Shrewsbury Town on a one-month loan deal.

Shrewsbury Town have completed the signing of Watford midfielder Niall McGinn on a one-month loan deal.

The 24-year-old has seen his season with the Hornets hampered by injury but Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner believes that he can have an immediate impact at the League One club.

Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire: "He is a good midfielder with a good eye for a pass and chips in with important goals.

"He picked up an injury at Watford which kept him out action for a while.

"But he's raring to go now and we've taken him and he's joined us on an initial month's loan."

McGinn could feature when Shrewsbury travel to Scunthorpe on Saturday.
