Seattle 1-0 Philadelphia

Mouro Rosales's second-half strike sees Seattle Sounders record a 1-0 win over Philadelphia Union.

Seattle Sounders have closed the gap on second-placed Real Salt Lake in the MLS Eastern Conference with a 1-0 win over Philadelphia Union.

The hosts had plenty of efforts at goal in the first half but their profligacy saw the teams head into the half time interval on level terms.

Mauro Rosales eventually broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute after Fredy Montero's pass found him with space inside the area. He shot across Zac MacMath's goal and into the bottom left corner.

MacMath saved brilliantly from Montero late on to keep the scoreline at 1-0 and limit the damage.
