Jim McNulty makes Rochdale switch

Rochdale sign Jim McNulty on a two-year deal following the defender's release by Bury.

Rochdale have confirmed the signing of former Bury defender Jim McNulty on a two-year deal.

The 30-year-old, who was released by the Shakers last month following their promotion to League One, previously played under Dale boss Keith Hill at Barnsley.

"I have been chasing Jim since I came back to the football club. He's a good defender at a very good age," Hill told the club's official website. "We have a very good, strong player and he knows me and how I want to play the game. I believe his best years maybe in front of him."

McNulty made 30 appearances in all competitions for Bury during the 2014-15 campaign.
