Real Madrid end Rodrigo Bentancur pursuit?

Real Madrid will reportedly not sign Boca Juniors midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, despite having supposedly agreed a deal with the Uruguayan.

Real Madrid have reportedly ceased their interest in Boca Juniors midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur.

Recent speculation had claimed that Los Blancos were close to signing the Uruguayan for a fee in the region of £7.7m.

However, according to Marca, Madrid president Florentino Perez has decided to pull the plug on the deal.

The 10-time European champions are due to be under a two-window transfer ban starting in the summer, and it has been claimed that Perez is keen to avoid giving the impression that the club are making panic buys.
