Carlo Ancelotti: "Karim Benzema will play tomorrow"

Karim Benzema will return to Real Madrid's starting XI against Sevilla on Wednesday.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Karim Benzema will return to the starting lineup against Sevilla on Wednesday.

The French striker, who has come under criticism for a perceived lack of effort this season, was left out of the first XI in their 2-1 defeat to Barcelona at the weekend.

However, Ancelotti, when questioned on the striker's form this campaign, told reporters at a press conference that he "will play tomorrow".

Benzema's return to the team means that either Gareth Bale or Angel di Maria will drop out of the front three for the former Spanish champions.
