Harry Redknapp: 'Don't write Queens Park Rangers off'

Harry Redknapp insists that there is plenty of life left in his QPR side following the 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has warned not to write off his side's chances of staying in the Premier League this season.

Redknapp's side recorded their first victory since August on Monday night after Charlie Austin struck twice in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Loftus Road.

Newly-promoted Rangers remain in the bottom three but only by two points, and the veteran manager insists that it is far too early to earmark them for relegation.

"There is nothing in it," he told talkSPORT. "We're [five] points off tenth place. It's very tight.

"We've got every chance [of surviving] we're not write-offs and nor is anybody else.

"Ourselves, Leicester and Burnley are the three teams everyone thinks will go down but I'm sure all three of us will have a real go."

Rangers host fellow Londoners Chelsea at Loftus Road on Saturday, before facing reigning champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium a week later.
