Charlie Austin has reiterated his commitment to Queens Park Rangers by saying that he was in regular contact with head coach Chris Ramsey during the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old has been surrounded by constant speculation since the end of last season when his side were relegated from the Premier League.
Austin says that he is relieved the transfer window has shut and admits to having words with Ramsey.
"Chris has pulled me in and we have had conversations throughout the window," Austin is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.
"He can't really say a lot because I've been top scorer in the Championship so far!
"I've trained hard with all this going on, I have got my head down and worked hard for QPR and luckily enough we have got 10 points from 15 so far."
