Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi has praised striker Edinson Cavani after he scored four times during his side's victory over Caen on Friday night.
Cavani faced criticism after only netting once in his opening three games of the campaign but after scoring in PSG's 1-1 draw with Arsenal in midweek, the Uruguayan scored four first-half goals in the 6-0 thrashing of Caen in Ligue 1.
The 29-year-old told reporters: "He already scored against Arsenal and [against Caen] he got four goals so we are really pleased for him. I hope he will keep moving forward.
"We know that Edi is a guy who needs confidence. We know that. But he's a very talented player. He scores a lot of goals every season. We trust him completely. I know that he will score a lot of goals this year."
PSG have moved to the top of the league table ahead of the remainder of this weekend's fixtures.
