Edinson Cavani's goal midway through the first half has given Paris Saint-Germain a slender 1-0 lead over bottom side Troyes at half time.
Both sides paid tribute to the victims of the Paris attacks on PSG's first home game since the incidents which rocked the French capital.
When play got underway, Edinson Cavani saw a third-minute header parried wide by Paul Bernardoni before nodding another chance past the post less than 60 seconds later.
Troyes almost took a shock lead after 10 minutes, but Kevin Trapp reacted well to turn away Fabien Camus's attempt.
However, Cavani put PSG 1-0 up with his third attempt as he cleverly flicked home Angel di Maria's cross in the 20th minute.
Cavani continued to threaten and went close with two more strikes, although Troyes gave a reminder of their threat when Benjamin Nivet forced Trapp into a save with his feet.
