Eder: 'I will top Euro scoring charts'

Portugal striker Eder backs himself to top the scoring charts at this summer's European Championships in France.

Portugal striker Eder has backed himself to win the Golden Boot at Euro 2016.

The 28-year-old only managed six goals for Lille last season and has netted just three times in his 26 appearances for Portugal ahead of representing his country at the European Championships in France.

Eder, however, when questioned on who would top the scoring charts this summer, has backed himself to fire Portugal to glory by posting the best numbers in front of goal.

"It will be me," Eder, who left Premier League club Swansea City in January after failing to score for the Welsh side, told reporters.

Portugal will open their Euro 2016 campaign against Iceland on Tuesday.
