Darren Ferguson: 'Posh unlikely to re-sign Craig Alcock'

Craig Alcock looks unlikely to re-sign for Peterborough United after ignoring Darren Ferguson's requests.

Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson has admitted that the club are likely to fail in their attempt to re-sign Craig Alcock.

The 26-year-old, who made 39 appearances last season, was seen as a replacement for Mark Little, despite being released in May.

"I'm a very patient man and I've given Craig every opportunity without actually setting a time on it," Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

"He hasn't come back to me, so I'm definitely looking at other options."

Ferguson lost fellow right-back Little after he joined League One club Bristol City last week.
