Norwich City manager Paul Lambert was pleased with his players' effort during their 2-0 loss to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
The Canaries are 12th in the Premier League table with 43 points and are guaranteed top-flight football next season.
Despite creating numerous chances, Lambert's men were consigned to defeat by two superb finishes from Mauro Formica and Junior Hoilett four minutes either side of half time.
"We huffed and puffed and you've got to take your medicine and go again," the Scot told Sky Sports News. "I hope we will keep playing this season whether there is some meaning or not.
"The first goal was a poor goal from our point of view and for the second you can't let someone shoot from 25 yards and do nothing. You've got to get in a tackle or a block or something.
"The one positive thing to come out of the game was that James Vaughan came back and did really well, because he's had some hard times with injuries."
Norwich's last three games are against Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa.
