Wayne Rooney has revealed that he is "looking forward" to working alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Manchester United.
Ibrahimovic completed a move to the Red Devils this summer after leaving Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer, but has not yet linked up with his new teammates after being given some time off following Euro 2016.
The experienced Swede is expected to be involved against Galatasaray in a friendly on July 30, however, and Rooney has talked up a potential partnership with "one of the best strikers in world football over the last 10 years".
"I am [looking forward to playing alongside him]. He's been one of the best strikers in world football over the last 10 years," said Rooney during a live Facebook Q&A while on Man United's pre-season tour of China.
"He's always won trophies wherever he's been. He's a huge character. So I'm looking forward to getting back training with him and then hopefully forming a good partnership with him and being successful together."
Rooney could be involved when Man United face Manchester City in their third pre-season match on Monday.
