Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has described Roberto Mancini as an "unbelievable boss".
City will win their first league title in 44 years if they match Manchester United's result in the final round of games next Sunday afternoon.
Despite trailing rivals United by eight points last month, Toure has revealed that Italian coach Mancini never lost faith in his player's ability to overturn the deficit.
"Full credit to Mancini. [He is an] unbelievable boss," the Ivory Coast international told Sky Sports News.
"He always believes in us and always tells us, 'Guys you have to believe in yourselves, Man Utd can drop some points.
"The most important [thing is] you have to keep winning games and United can drop some points. If they do it could be enough for us'."
Toure scored both goals as City defeated Newcastle United 2-0 at the weekend.
