John O'Shea disappointed in Roberto Mancini's 'easy' claims

John O'Shea believes that there was no need for Roberto Mancini to claim that Manchester United have an 'easy' game against Sunderland on Sunday.

Sunderland defender John O'Shea believes that Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was wrong to suggest that Manchester United have an 'easy' match against the Black Cats this weekend.

The Italian coach claimed that the Red Devils are likely to secure victory at the Stadium of Light on the final day of the Premier League season due to easier opposition, while the blue half of Manchester face a more difficult task when they take on Queens Park Rangers, who are fighting for survival.

"Believe me, the two times City have played against us this season, they knew it wasn't an easy game," O'Shea told The Guardian. "We've taken four points off them.

"I think [Mancini] is starting to enjoy his psychological games but, as the gaffer said, to call the integrity of the Premier League into question is disappointing. He's going for the title and he's going to try certain things. But he doesn't need to do that."

City need to win at the Etihad Stadium to clinch the title due to their superior eight-goal difference over United, who are on the same points as their local rivals.
