Leicester City are keen on signing Manchester City youngster James McAtee, according to a report.
The Foxes are looking to bolster their squad in the final week on the January transfer window, and bringing in a young talent is something that they are now considering.
According to Leicester Mercury, the club are interested in signing McAtee, but they are not the only Premier League outfit keeping tabs on him, as Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion want him as well.
The 19-year-old only has 18 months left on his contract with Manchester City, and he has been stalling putting pen to paper on an extension that would commit his future to the defending Premier League champions.
McAtee was able to make his debut in the top flight this season, coming on as a substitute during the fixture against Everton back in November, which the club won 3-0.
However, he has primarily been used in the PL2 Division 1 for Manchester City's Under-23s squad, where he has scored 14 goals in 15 appearances.
