Lyon coach Hubert Fournier has insisted that frontman Alexandre Lacazette has the mental strength required to return to form for the Ligue 1 side.
Lacazette was tipped to move to the Premier League over the summer after collecting a league-high 27 goals last campaign, but his move never materialised and he has since suffered from a niggling injury problem this season.
"If we want to have a good season, our key players, including Alex, will need to step up," said Fournier, according to the official Ligue 1 website.
"He's not at 100& yet, but he'll get there with a bit of time.
"His mental strength? I'm not worried about Lacazette. He's a big boy and he's beginning to understand what the demands of high-level football are like."
Lyon currently hold seventh spot in the Ligue 1 table after five games played.
