Preview: Lyon vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Sports Mole previews the second leg of the Europa League knockout-round clash between Lyon and Tottenham Hotspur.

Samuel Umtiti's second-half strike for Lyon last week secured the French outfit a vital away goal in their Europa League knockout-round clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

Gareth Bale scored twice as the Premier League side recorded a 2-1 win, but Lyon enter the match knowing that a 1-0 victory would be enough to book their spot in the next round of the competition.

Lyon enter the match having won two of their last five matches in all competitions, but a strong run of form in the early part of the season sees them sit second in the Ligue 1 table, just three points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

Spurs, meanwhile, have won three of their last five games in all competitions. They were eliminated from the FA Cup at the end of January, but a successful league season has seen them occupy fourth spot in the Premier League table, just one point behind third-placed Chelsea.

Lyon could name the same team that started the first leg last week, but Maxime Gonalons is struggling with a muscular injury, meaning that Clement Grenier could come into the team.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has no fresh injury concerns, however, with Brad Friedel, William Gallas and Kyle Naughton all expected to start in France.
