Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy believes that the club's performances have not always brought the right results this season.

Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy has praised his teammates, insisting that "this is a good Liverpool team".

The 32-year-old has also claimed that he was pleased with his side's performance despite their 2-1 loss to Arsenal last weekend.

"Talking as a Liverpool fan and not as a player, this is a good Liverpool team. Sitting on the bench, I was a spectator for the Arsenal game and whenever I watch this team I like what I see," Bellamy told the club's official website.

"We played some great football. But we didn't make it count last Saturday and unfortunately a lot of games have been like that.

"We haven't got the results in the league this season that a lot of our play has deserved. I think the personnel are here. It's just fine margins – we're that close."

Liverpool travel to Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.
