Charlie Adam says that Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish thinks that the Reds have a "good enough" team to challenge for honours.

Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam believes that the Reds don't need to dip into the summer transfer window because they already have "quality" players.

Kenny Dalglish spent over £100m at the end of last season and reports have suggested that the Merseyside club might look into bringing in reinforcements this summer.

The Reds have had an agonising season in front of goal, with a number of missed chances resulting in defeats and draws throughout their Premier League campaign.

"It would be easy for us to make an excuse and say we need new players, but the manager feels we already have good enough players to hurt teams," said Adam.

"We have Luis Suarez, Andy Carroll, Dirk Kuyt and Craig Bellamy, so we have quality players up front."

Liverpool are currently ten points below fourth spot, with a game in hand, in the league table.
