Report: Gokhan Inler to fight for Leicester City place

Leicester City midfielder Gokhan Inler denies reports that he wants to leave and is willing to fight for his place with the Premier League side, according to reports.

Swiss international Gokhan Inler will reportedly fight for his place at Leicester City rather than seek a loan move in January.

The player's agent had told Italian media that his client may leave to play first-team football ahead of Euro 2016.

However, according to PA, the Switzerland skipper is prepared to stay and battle for a spot in the starting XI at the Premier League side.

The 31-year-old has not played since September but it is understood that Inler appreciates manager Claudio Ranieri's position of keeping him out of a winning team.

Inler joined the Foxes from Napoli in the summer and signed a three-year contract with the East Midlands club.
