Yohan Benalouane joins Fiorentina on loan from Leicester City

Leicester City defender Yohan Benalouane completes his loan switch to Serie A side Fiorentina until the end of the season.

Leicester City defender Yohan Benalouane has joined Fiorentina on loan for the rest of the season.

The 28-year-old joined the Foxes on a four-year deal in August but failed to establish himself in the first team under Claudio Ranieri as Leicester emerged as shock title contenders.

The French centre-back made just four Premier League appearances for the club, but was more of a regular in the cup competitions, turning out five times in the League Cup and FA Cup.

Benalouane will now return to Serie A for the remainder of the campaign having spent previous spells at Cesena, Parma and Atalanta in Italy.

He joins a Fiorentina side who currently sit third in the table and could make his debut in Wednesday night's clash with Carpi.
