Michael Tonge concludes his permanent transfer from Stoke City to Leeds United.

Midfielder Michael Tonge has completed his permanent switch to Leeds United from Premier League side Stoke City.

Tonge was on loan at Leeds between September and January, making 22 appearances, and the club has not taken long to conclude the permanent deal.

"Tongey showed what an important member of the squad he is," Leeds manager Neil Warnock told the club's official website.

"I'm delighted we've been able to agree things with Stoke to bring him here permanently.

"I think people saw Michael get better as time went on and you could see what he brought to the side."

The deal will keep Tonge at Leeds until the summer of 2015.
