Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo hints at retirement date

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo hints that he may consider retiring from professional football 'in the next year or two'.

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has suggested that he has started to contemplate life after professional football.

The Portugal international is less than halfway through a four-year contract in Turin, while there has recently been speculation regarding future offers from other top European clubs.

However, just over four months short of his 35th birthday, Ronaldo has indicated that he may opt to retire 'in a year or two'.

Speaking to SportBible, Ronaldo said: "I still love football. I love to entertain the fans and the people who love Cristiano. It doesn't matter the age, it's all about mentality.

"The last five years I start to enjoy this process of seeing me outside of football, so who knows what will happen in the next year or two?"

While the veteran still has ambitions in club football, the attacker is now just seven goals short of reaching 100 for his country.
