Manchester United are reportedly considering an audacious approach for Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Having ended his long-term association with Real Madrid in order to move to the Italian champions last summer, Ronaldo indicated that he planned to see out his career in Turin.
However, according to reports in Spain, the 34-year-old is prepared to contemplate an exit at the end of this season if Juventus get no closer to winning the Champions League.
The same report suggests that Man United are thinking about trying to secure a reunion with their former player, who left Old Trafford in 2009 after a six-year stay.
Ronaldo would only be interested in a return to the Premier League giants should they show signs that they are nearer to regaining a place among European football's elite.
The Portugal international still has just under three years left on his contract.
