England boss Gareth Southgate is reportedly keen for Nottingham Forest youngster Brennan Johnson to represent the Three Lions in the future.

Gareth Southgate is reportedly keen for Nottingham Forest youngster Brennan Johnson to switch his allegiances to England.

Having made three appearances for the East Midlands outfit this season, the 18-year-old has been provided with his debut for Wales Under-21s.

However, according to The Mirror, Southgate wants the teenager to instead become a part of the Three Lions youth setup.

Johnson has previously played for England Under-16s and Under-17s, only to begin representing Wales from the Under-18s side upwards.

Johnson, who only turned 18 in May, is currently pencilled in to play for Wales against Germany on Tuesday night.
