Birmingham City defender Mitch Hancox has joined League Two side Crawley Town on a month-long loan deal.
The 21-year-old, who operates primarily at left-back, has gone straight into Mark Yates's Reds squad for tomorrow's clash with Plymouth Argyle.
"I have been asking Gary Rowett about Mitch for a while and I'm delighted he's agreed to let Mitch come to us," Yates told the club's official website.
"I just feel we need a bit more experience and physicality in the back four. On Tuesday we had a back five, if you include Freddie Woodman, of two 18-year-olds, a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old.
"That's a very young defensive unit at any level. We are looking forward to working with Mitch and I know he's really happy to be joining us so he can get some games under his belt."
Hancox, who has made 33 league appearances for Birmingham since breaking into the first team in 2012, has been given the squad number of 24 at Broadfield Stadium.
