Colchester United have signed former Tottenham Hotspur academy defender Kane Vincent-Young on a year's contract after impressing while on trial.
The teenage full-back made nine appearances for Spurs' Under-18s last season before being released at the end of his youth scholarship in July.
U's manager Tony Humes told the club's official website: "Kane has signed a one-year development contract with us.
"It allows us to keep him at the club and watch his progress over that time, and we have plenty of games in the U21s for him to develop."
Colchester currently sit near the foot of the League Two table, in 23rd place.
