A late goal from Chad Barrett earned New England Revolution a point in their MLS clash with Chivas USA.
The hosts started the game positively and could have gone ahead after just 50 seconds, but Gabriel Farfan's effort from distance went just the wrong side of the post.
However, Chivas did take the lead in the 17th minute when Laurent Courtois volleyed the ball past Bobby Shuttleworth into the net from the edge of the box.
New England were almost level immediately when Lee Nguyen smashed a free kick off the crossbar and over from 35 yards out.
After the break the Revolution were further denied, this time by Chivas keeper Dan Kennedy as he produced a good save to stop Chris Tierney's low effort from finding the net.
The visitors kept on pressing and Saer Sane should have done better with a left-footed shot after being teed up by Diego Fagundez in the penalty area, but his effort was tame and straight at Kennedy.
New England finally got their equaliser in the 88th minute when Barrett bundled in Fagundez's low cross at the back post to earn his side a point.
