Real Madrid have reportedly decided to make their first official offer for Chelsea winger Eden Hazard ahead of the summer transfer window.
Hazard has spent almost seven years at Stamford Bridge, but the 28-year-old has been frequently linked with a switch to Real at some stage in his career.
The Belgium international has just over a year remaining on his contract, and Chelsea will likely sell the playmaker should he not pen fresh terms in the coming months.
According to the Daily Record, Real have opted to up their interest in Hazard by making their first formal bid in the hope of tempting Chelsea into a quick sale.
The report adds that Real's offer has been turned down by the Premier League outfit, but that Hazard has been left encouraged by the stance taken by the current European champions.
Another report has indicated that Hazard is 'determined' to make the switch to the Bernabeu ahead of the next campaign.
