Chelsea reportedly tell Real Madrid that it will cost at least £54m for the club to entertain the sale of Marcos Alonso.

Chelsea have reportedly decided that they will not entertain selling Marcos Alonso for a fee less than £54m.

Alonso has netted 15 times from 88 appearances for the Blues since moving to Stamford Bridge in 2016, and the Spaniard remains first choice on the left side of defence.

However, it has been suggested that the 27-year-old would be open to a future return to Real, where the full-back spent the early stages of his career.

Chelsea are unlikely to sell Alonso at this stage of the summer, but according to Tuttosport, the West Londoners have set the player's valuation at £54m.

Alonso - who has started each of Chelsea's three Premier League games this season - still has three years remaining on his contract.
