Chelsea 'consider Yannick Ferreira Carrasco swoop'

Chelsea could move for Atletico Madrid attacker Yannick Ferreira Carrasco in the January transfer window, a report claims.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Atletico Madrid attacker Yannick Ferreira Carrasco.

The Belgian international joined Atletico from AS Monaco in the summer of 2015 and scored five times in 43 appearances for the capital club during his first season at the Vicente Calderon.

Carrasco has also started the new campaign in impressive form, scoring Atletico's winner in their 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League towards the end of last month.

Barcelona have recently been linked with a move for the 23-year-old, although it is understood that Atletico are preparing to offer the attacker a new long-term contract.

According to The Mirror, Chelsea are aware of Carrasco's current buy-out clause, which stands at £34m, and will attempt to entice the Belgian to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.

Carrasco is yet to score in five La Liga appearances for Atletico this season.
