Former striker Andriy Shevchenko is reportedly being considered as a replacement for Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

Chelsea have reportedly identified Andriy Shevchenko as a potential replacement for manager Frank Lampard.

The club legend's position in the dugout is said to be under threat after four defeats in six Premier League matches since December 12.

While the Englishman could be given time by club officials, it has been suggested that an immediate upturn in results is required to fend off any concerns over his long-term future.

Should Roman Abramovich opt to part ways with Lampard, Le 10 Sport says that Shevchenko would be considered for the position.

The forward endured a mixed period at Stamford Bridge between 2006 and 2008, contributing 22 goals from 77 appearances in all competitions.

However, the 44-year-old has been Ukraine boss since 2016, winning 21 of his 40 matches in charge of his national team.
