Patrick Bamford: 'Jose Mourinho has no career plan for me'

Chelsea striker and Middlesbrough loanee Patrick Bamford claims that Blues manager Jose Mourinho has given him no plan for a career at Stamford Bridge.

Patrick Bamford has claimed that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has given him no plan for a career at Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old, on loan at Middlesbrough, has scored 11 goals this season to help the Teesside outfit to the higher echelons of the Championship table.

Bamford is quoted by The Express as saying: "Jose Mourinho hasn't really outlined the plan for my career.

"I was going to stay there this season, that was the original plan, but when the chance to bring Didier [Drogba] back arrives, you can't really turn down Drogba, can you?

"Then Jose gave me the choice whether I wanted to stay and play bit-parts - but a very minimum amount of football - or I could go out on loan."

Bamford began his career at Nottingham Forest.
